Jim Rolfe is a Senior Fellow of the New Zealand Centre for Strategic Studies. He has previously worked in both the public and academic sectors, focusing on national strategies for New Zealand’s security. As a public servant, Dr Rolfe was most recently the lead for the strategic component of the 2009 defence assessment. As a scholar, Jim has analysed, written about and taught widely on issues of New Zealand and its strategic approaches to achieving security, for both domestic purposes and international.
Intellectual curiosity is one of the great virtues, and all Jim’s analysis is designed to bring out the full range of factors that should be considered when any issue is being examined. The teaching approach reflects this.
